There are several methods available for obtaining estimates for significant repair items. Our Report can include either General or Detailed Repair Cost Estimates. Detailed Estimates are created from lists and measurements taken on site, and include a contractor-style take-off of each item, with system subtotals and totals. Because Detailed Estimates require additional time on-site, this service must be ordered in advance of our site visit.

General or Basic Repair Cost Estimates can be produced without a detailed take-off and are less costly to prepare. General costs are best used for large items such as complete roof or HVAC system replacement.

The most reliable estimates you can get will come from a contractor who specifies exactly what services will be provided for a given price. Many of our clients provide a copy of the StarGroup Report to their contractors to assist them in costing their work proposals.
